Peter Luzmore, founder and CEO of Synthesis.

1. How did you learn about Conversations for Action?:

I first learned about Conversatiosn For Action through Fernando Flores' Action Workshop in New York in 1983.

I was looking for a way take my passion for personal development and have that be my work.  I had just discovered that the international advertising agency that I worked for in Hong Kong had a training department in New York, but I had no mechanism to get myself a job there.

2. How has this learning contributed to your views and your participation in the world?:

The learning made a  considerable life changing impact. I saw that I could now use language to create action and from that satisfaction for myself and others. That language was not just about communicating; it was a way to create a new outlook of the world. From this new perspective, I could observe aspects of the way that people work together that caused wastage and discontent.

Following my introduction to the CFA I was able to change my career. I was appointed to the international training department of Young & Rubicam. I did this by taking the CFA and making requests and offers that would result in me and all those I worked with in Hong Kong being satisfied with me being in New York.

It has been thirty years since I was introduced to the CFA. Not only has it made a significant contribution to the success of my business, it also has consistently produced value to the thousands of people that my team has taught with the material I licensed from Business Design Associates. I now see that my mission of contributing to 1,000,000 people's work lives can easily be accomplished.
